Now in its 32nd year, the Big Apple Awards is one of the most

in-house teams, freelancers, nonprofit organizations, and government
agencies, both PRSA-NY members and non-members, across the Tri-State
“This is a challenging time for our craft. Our work is evolving. By
honoring excellence and innovation, we are helping change the
communications landscape,” said Leslie Gottlieb, PRSA-NY President.
“We embrace that change and will help lead it. The 2019 Big Apple Awards
will recognize the most exceptional work in our industry. The difficult
work that solves problems and creates opportunities. The bold work that
captures a unique kind of value for clients and colleagues. The
innovative work that confronts conventional challenges in new ways.”
The Big Apple Awards has more than 100 categories. The Chapter will also
recognize the accomplishments and talents of younger professionals,
showcased in its annual 15 Under 35 Awards, which are nominated
separately but recognized during the same event.
Introduced in 2016, the 15 Under 35 Awards are chosen by a panel of
distinguished industry judges as representing the “Best of the Best” in
public relations practitioners. Nominations are open to anyone 35 and
under who works in communications in the New York metro area and has at
least five years of PR experience.
All winners will be honored at the Big Apple Awards Gala on June 17th
at the Mandarin Oriental near Columbus Circle in Manhattan.
