The James K. Polk Collection LightWave 3D Tool Collection

Worley Laboratories has released a huge new tool collection for LightWave 3D. The obscurely titled "James K. Polk Collection" contains over new 33 widely-themed plugins.

Polk has six surface shader plugins, including "Acid," a surface effecting tool that allows animated painting and bumpmapping by an effector object onto any surface of another object.

Polk's five displacement plugins feature "Dangle," a chain and rope physics simulator.

The 16 motion tools include a set of motion "Link" cycle tools especially useful for character and vehicle animation. Other tools include "Blink," which randomizes the period and rate of a cycle, and "Parent," a dynamic item parenting tool.

Among the six image plugins is "Vfog," an ultra-fast ground fog generator and "Lens," a tool which adds or corrects real-world lens distortions to LightWave images.

Polk includes a detailed printed spiral-bound manual and over 50 sample scenes. The Worley Labs web site at http://www.worley.com has complete descriptions and animated examples of all of the Polk plugins.
