Alien Skin Snap Art v2 Announced - - Kinda

Alien Skin has a secret look at its own upcoming software, check out v1 By Ko Maruyama
I didn't need my pants anyway... It's May and the weather is getting warmer.

Apparently, according to the developers, the new Snap Art 2 from Alien Skin is going to "blow your pants off".  I suppose it's a good thing that it doesn't "blow you away" or "make your eyes pop out".  The new software may be a perfect introduction to the new photographer / artist hobbyist in your house.

It doesn't compete with manual strokes that you need to create individually in  Corel's Painter 11.  Instead, it allows you to easily modify your photos to make custom artwork by controlling some simple sliders that will analyze and treat your photo instantly..... in a snap!

The new version has 100s of presets for different styles, including natural media styles that will allow you to create hand-drawn looking artwork from your photographs.

Turning photos into watercolors, oil isn't a new idea to owners of Snap Art (1), but if you haven't seen what it can do, there's no better time to check out what it can do now.

By way of a look back, here's a pre-NAB sneak peek at what Alien Skin has in store to update.  If you want to keep track of the news yourself, be sure to check out Alien Skin's website   Remember that you can find Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects at the website.
