How to add background music to a PowerPoint presentation

At present, a large number of people want to put continuous music on slideshow, while some have problems on adding music to PowerPoint. With regard to putting music to PowerPoint, there are mainly two problems. One is what format can be supported by PowerPoint; the other is how to keep the music playing throughout the presentation.   About the format We don't need to worry about choosing the appropriate music. No matter what format the music is, the PowerPoint can perform it greatly. Whereas, for wav format, there is some particularity we need to notice. The wav format file can be embedded in PowerPoint if the size of the file doesn't fall outside the "Max Sound File Siz", that is say, wherever the wav format you move to, the music can be played normally, you don't have to change the archive path. While, other formats can't have the feature.

About the playing In order to make the music play run through the slides, you should follow the hereinafter steps: 1. Click insert -> sound -> sound from file. Select the music you want to insert;
2. In the succeeding dialog box which say "How do you want the sound to start in the slide show? ", please select " Automatically".
3. Select "Loop Until Stopped" at the "Sound Option" above the slide, at the same time, in the "Play Sound" item, select "play across slide".
After you have done the three steps above, the music you desired can be played all over the slides.
Simple method You may find a little complicated about the process, to delight, there are some soft wares can help you on adding music to PowerPoint, such as PPT 2FLASH.
  Click the "Import Audio", in the pop-up dialog box tick the "Background music for the whole presentation", then you can play the music all around the slides.  By the way, this software can convert PowerPoint to flash in a breeze, by which you can put you presentation on webpage.
