About Good Earth Minerals. GEM is committed to lessening society's impact on the planet through the intelligent use of its calcium sulfate minerals. GEM's Selecor subsidiary (www.selecortechnologies.com) is developing products that will reduce the amount of petroleum required to manufacture oleo-plastics. Because Selecor-containing plastics are lighter and stronger, less plant product is diverted into the bio- plastics market. Additionally, high-performance plastics improved with calcium sulfate can substitute for heavier materials such as metal. Used in automobiles, aircraft and other vehicles, these plastics will improve fuel efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Products marketed by GEM's EcoGEM subsidiary (www.eco-gem.com) are a game changer for food delivery systems, water and soil. Use of EcoGEM calcium sulfate improves soil, making traditional fertilizers more effective. This lowers the emissions of nitrous oxide, a greenhouse gas 310 times more potent than carbon dioxide. Calcium sulfate also removes toxins from root zone, increasing the amount of arable soil for food production.
