Sharp's XG-PH50X Projector

Sharp announced the availability of the XG-PH50X installation and integration projector designed for facilities that need a powerful, permanently-installed display device. With eye-popping brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, six lens options and redundant reliability through a dual-lamp lighting system, the XGA-resolution XG-PH50X delivers uncompromising picture quality in larger spaces such as a conference room or lecture hall. The projector provides reliable operation even during extended use and decreases the overall cost of ownership by efficiently managing lamp life through adjustable brightness settings ranging from 4000 to 1500 ANSI lumens.

?The XG-PH50X is a reliable projector that produces crisp pictures in challenging large-venue lighting environments, such as auditoriums, hotels or museums, said Joe Gillio, associate director of display product planning, Sharp Information Systems Group. ?Sharps intelligent dual-lamp design helps the device project a brilliant image in dimly- or fully-lit areas, so users can be confident that presentations will always be crystal clear.

Dual Lamp Design for Redundant Reliability and Extended Lamp Life
The XG-PH50X offers redundant reliability for uninterrupted presentations through Sharps dual-lamp optical system. For applications where a reduced output can be used, such as in shaded rooms, users can run a single lamp, or operate the unit in its ?eco low brightness mode, effectively doubling the lamp life.

Multiple Lenses for Limitless Placement Options
The projector has six lens options providing users with a multitude of placement choices, including up to 70 feet from the screen[1] or out-of-reach on a high ceiling. Five of the lenses are powered, so adjustments can be made remotely. The sixth lens is a wide-angle fixed focus. Power ?H & V optical lens shift allows the user to adjust the lens horizontally and vertically, minimizing keystone distortion.

Exceptional Video Processing
The XG-PH50Xs built-in video-processing chip, the Sharp CV-IC (Computer Video Integrated Composer) System, ensures high image quality. The CV-IC circuitry smoothes jagged edges, minimizes image noise and creates a perfectly rectangular image with keystone corrections, resulting in impressively sharp presentations.

Advanced DDR DLP Technology
With the latest in DDR DLP Technology from Texas Instruments, including four-segment 3x speed color wheel and sealed optics, customers have superior image quality in the XG-PH50X. When combined with Sharps enhanced reliability, the XG-PH50X is an excellent choice for most any application, including boardrooms, lecture halls, staging/rental as well as NOC command and control.

Remote Access and Control Software
The XG-PH50X has a built-in RJ-45 LAN connection and Web server that allows direct control from the desktop to the projector without special software. Sharps Display Manager Software connects one or more LAN-enabled projectors to a network for remote control, asset management and diagnostics. The software helps minimize downtime and expedites maintenance by self-diagnosing system errors, instantly alerting the control PC or e-mailing an error message to a predetermined list.

Price and Availability
The XG-PH50X is available, with standard 1.4x zoom lens, for a suggested list price of $6,995. The XG-PH50X-NL (projector without lens) is now available for $6,495 (suggested list). The optional lenses range in price from $995 to $3,795 (suggested list).

[1] The projector can be placed 70 feet away from a 10-foot screen when using the AN-PH60EX.
