DVD Studio Pro Scripting

Project 1: Creating a 'last viewed' button
Then you're going to go back to the Script tab and click the little "+" button to add a second command. Can you guess what this one will do? That's right. It will jump to Track 2 if GPRM 0 is currently at a value of 2.

And then we add a third command, one that will jump to Track 3 if the current value of GPRM 0 is 3.

Now all of your scripts are done. You just need to attach Script 4 to your "View Previous" button. This is a little bit different from using the Pre-Script function that we used with the previous scripts. Instead, you'll select your button in the menu, and then you'll assign the button's target in the Inspector palette to Script 4.

You're all set now. Run the Simulator. Play one of your tracks, and then go back to your menu. Hit the "View Previous" button, and it will replay that track.

We'll cover more scripting projects in future installments. In the meantime, if you have any questions (or ideas for sample projects), visit me in the DVD Studio Pro forum here.
