Havas Discovery Makes 2012 Top Workplace List(January 22, 2013)
Baltimore (PRWEB) January 22, 2013
Advertising and marketing agency Havas Discovery has been ranked one of the regions top workplaces, according to The Baltimore Suns latest annual survey.
For the 2012 list, 80 local companies were recognized in large (more than 400 employees), midsize (150 to 399 employees) and small (50 to 149 employees) divisions, the latter category being where Havas placed. Baltimores Top Workplaces list is compiled annually based on employee ratings.
Along with a great benefits package, Havas Discovery offers worker perks such as flexible schedules, free snacks and sodas, a casual dress code, subsidized parking and happy hour on the balcony at the close of each week. Throughout the year, the 50-person office goes on team outings to events that include the Polar Bear Plunge, crab feasts and Orioles games. These casual settings feature close contact with upper management, allowing every employee to socialize, network and make a strong impact on Havas clients and work.
"Winning an award like this is a testament to our team in Baltimore and the culture they've built, said Paul Marobella, President of Havas Discovery. In our industry, we often spend more time together at work than with our families and friends, so the goal is to celebrate success, have some fun and achieve our goals along the way."
Workers surveyed at Havas headquarters, in the heart of Baltimores Inner Harbor, gave points to Havas people. Coming to work to collaborate with some of the smartest and most fun people I know makes working for Euro (RSCG Discovery) the name under which Havas formerly was known a real benefit, one person wrote. Another said, Everyone I encounter wants to be a team player and make Euro the best it can be. A third praised a manager who instills me with the confidence to run on my own, but always leaves an open door to utilize him as a resource.
