P&G Salon How To: Sleek vs. Textured Ponytails

Ponytails have been hugely in demand at this year’s Games, particularly as Olympians want to pull hair out of the way, but still need to look glamorous for the photo finish. At the Salon we favored two styles: the textured ponytail or a smoother, sleek look. Here are my simple steps to these fab styles:

Look One: Smooth, Sleek Ponytail

Step One
Pull back the hair into a tight, high ponytail.

Step Two
Spritz with Pantene Smooth and Sleek Hairspray.

Step Three
Finish off the ends with a dab of Pantene Split End Serum to give that finished slick look.

Look Two: Textured Ponytail

Step One
Take a section of hair from the top of the crown.

Step Two
Backcomb slightly at the roots to create texture.

Step Three
Repeat with side sections.

Step Four
Pull the hair back into a single ponytail and gently loosen out strands from around the hairline.

Step Five
Make the last couple of back combing strokes through the body of the ponytail before finishing with Pantene Smooth and Sleek Hairspray

Step Six
Prepare to dazzle!
