Full Motion Video for Defense Summit(March 22, 2012)

The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) announces the Full Motion Video for Defense Summit scheduled for April 23-25, 2012 in Washington, DC.
Members from the DoD and private sector will convene this April to discuss the growing demand for full motion video in intelligence operations and gain an understanding on how to overcome current challenges.
IDGA’s Full Motion Video for Defense Summit (www.fullmotionvideoevent.com) will cover the recent changes and lessons learned from all areas of military, government and industry. As military manned and unmanned platforms increase in number and overall capabilities, the intelligence information being required is at an all time high. Also included in the discussions is the need for full motion video technology and processing to reduce the time required to obtain situational awareness information as well as improve the performance of existing automated analysis tools, such as facial recognition, targeting and video analytics.
The Full Motion Video Summit has two main conference days that cover topics such as: Global Hawk Acquisition Priorities, Global FMV Surveillance Systems: Technical Feasibility and Affordability, Video Capture File Transfer Protocols for the Warfighter and DARPA’s Minds Eye Program.
