DVEO to Introduce MPEG-2/H.264, HD or SD, Transport Stream Playout Server with ASI Out at NAB 2010, Booth SU2709

T-Source/ASI Plays Streams from the On-Board Flash Card Reader or from a Computer -- Suitable for Broadcast, Digital Signage (March 26, 2010)
DMN Newswire--2010-3-26--San Diego, California -- DVEO, the broadcast division of Computer Modules, Inc. (CMI), is now shipping their MPEG-2 or H.264, HD or SD, transport stream playout server with ASI output.  DVEO will demonstrate the new T-Source/ASI in Booth SU2709 at the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Show, April 12-15, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The T-Source/ASI(TM) is a cost-effective MPEG-2 or H.264 transport stream playout server with ASI output -- the transport stream originates from the on-board flash card reader or from a computer.  The system continuously plays a short or long compressed video clip, in a loop.  No additional computer is needed to play streams from the on-board 4 GB flash card to an ASI receiver, or to record streams to the flash card from an ASI transmitter.

Designed for dependable 24/7 operation, the compact T-Source/ASI is suitable for both broadcast and digital signage, or as an ideal "Install and Forget" device to install at transmitters, etc., as a signal source.

The unit includes an easy-to-use GUI for advanced applications such as playing streams from a computer, recording streams from a computer to the flash card, or recording streams from an ASI source to a computer.

"We're excited to be showing the T-Source/ASI at the 2010 NAB show," commented Laszlo Zoltan, Sales Manager for DVEO.  "The system provides 'always on' and reliable MPEG-2 or H.264 transport streams, in HD or SD.  It can be used round-the-clock as a test signal generator, or as a simple digital signage server to switch on in the morning and switch off at the end of the day.  We also recommend it to customers as a small-size video player for trade shows or museums."

The T-Source/ASI playout server ships with encoded color bars and a sample transport stream, already recorded on the Flash Card.  Additional transport streams can be requested at time of purchase.
