Today in America TV Offers Best Storm Apps for Digital Devices(October 30, 2012)
Coral Springs, FL (PRWEB) October 30, 2012
Storm preparation and safety are always on top of the list for Today in America TV, based in hurricane country -- South Florida. The informative program is pleased to offer a series about the best apps for mobile devices, along with helpful tips for viewers located in or near Hurricane Sandy areas. The producers of the show hope to give viewers the most useful information possible to have at hand so everyone will be safe, know who to contact and have that data readily available. The program will review mobile apps for both the iOS and Android devices. Reminders like smart phones have a flashlight function to use when the power goes out can be a life saver, in many cases. Home and car insurance companies have apps to download to easily reach an agent in the case of an emergency. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) also has an app which should be on everyones list. A few other tips for the viewer in emergency declared areas:
- Get cash from ATMs before the power goes out. Credit card machines in stores and at gas stations will not work if the electric is out.
- Fill all vehicles with gas before the storm arrives and power goes out.
- Charge and recharge any digital devices such as smart phones, e-readers, tablets, laptops, DVD players and cameras.
- Download any apps you will need for safety, convenience, fun, comfort and weather related information.
- Stay inside when instructed and heed any evacuation order.
Terry Bradshaw, the former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, hosts the educational program. He is the NFL Hall of Fame inductee who was influential in leading the team to four Super Bowl wins. Bradshaw retired from the grid iron in the mid 1980s and has worked as a football commentator, analyst and is now one of the Emmy-winning co-hosts of a national television network pregame show.
