Scorpion Healthcare Receives Outstanding Website WebAward

In 2012, Scorpion Healthcare was honored to receive the WebAward for Outstanding Website from the Web Marketing Association (WMA). The WMA was founded in 1997 and for 16 consecutive years has been hosting their WebAwards program honoring web developers who are setting the standard for excellence online. As the longest running annual website award program, it has truly become known as an industry standard for being able to determine the best of the web. They do this through a straightforward judging process which includes accepting nominations online for sites from over 96 different industries.

Sites which are nominated are then assigned to three or more judges; it is the responsibility of each judge to take the URL and judge the site as if they were a target user. Each site is judged on seven different factorsincluding design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease-of-useand given a score on a scale from 0 to 10. These are added up and each site is given a score averaged from the two highest scores. Sites are then ranked within their industry for awards on four different levels.

Separate from the ranking, however, is the Outstanding Website award which is given to every site which receives a score higher than 60 out of a total of 70 points possible. The WMA states that sites which are honored with this WebAward are above and beyond the standard of excellence.
