In the February issue of SUCCESS, learn about how speaker, author and spiritual guru Gabby Bernstein overcame her difficult past and learned to let go
DALLAS, Jan. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Self-described "spirit junkie" Gabby Bernstein has achieved a state of pure calm—a mindset that everything will work out well, and she's along for the blissful ride. She's written five smashingly successful books on spirituality, with a sixth just out: Judgment Detox: Release the Beliefs That Hold You Back From Living a Better Life. She talks and writes about how we are all trapped in a cycle of judgment, and the solution is to return to love, our natural state.
In an exclusive interview for SUCCESS, Bernstein talks about how she wasn't always this peaceful. She struggled to be in control throughout her 20s, and spent years partying at nightclubs, drinking and doing drugs. "My bottom was hard and fast," she says. "I knew it was death or sobriety."
It was 2005. She knew she needed to get clean, and she did. Bernstein has since told her story not only through her books, but as a guest on The Dr. Oz Show and on Oprah's Super Soul Sunday. She has also spread her message of the need to relinquish judgment through her workshops, which sell out nearly every time she hosts them. Bernstein believes telling her difficult story and being vulnerable encourages others to do the same.
In addition to learning about Bernstein's personal story of growth in this cover story, readers will discover the secrets of self-love and how they can avoid the cycle of judgment. They'll come away from the article ready to reconsider how judgment affects their lives.
"We think we need to chase that thing that will make us feel good, but the irony of it is that when we feel good, we'll get all of the things that we want."
—Gabby Bernstein tells SUCCESS in the February 2018 issue
