Award Winning Cogswell College to Hold Open House, Annual Summer Fest, Drawing Workshop and Game Night for Next-Generation of Digital Arts Students

SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 17, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cogswell College (http://www.cogswell.edu/), one of the world's leading regionally-accredited institutions offering a unique curriculum that fuses digital arts, engineering and entrepreneurship, is holding an Open House (http://www.cogswell.edu/prospective/rsvp-open-house.php) on Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at its Sunnyvale campus followed by its annual Summer Fest put on by the Associated Student Body. The school will also offer a drawing workshop for a limited number of interested students. The Open House will provide an opportunity to tour Cogswell's dynamic campus and learn more about its animation, game design, audio production, audio engineering, game audio, digital arts engineering, computer engineering, software engineering and entrepreneurship & innovation bachelor degree programs. It also provides an opportunity to visit with students, watch award-winning short animations, talk to an admissions representative and get answers to financial aid questions.

SUMMER FEST

The Open House is only the beginning. Bring your swimming suit and plan to stick around for Summer Fest beginning at 2:00! Join current Cogswell students and Fall term applicants in an afternoon of fun featuring a water slide, dunk tank, bounce house, water balloon fights and maybe a pick-up game of basketball or frisbee. A kick-off BBQ launches the day in the sun.

DRAWING WORKSHOP

For those who want to hone their drawing skills, we are offering a 3 hour drawing workshop from 1:00 to 4:00. Lead by Project X alumnus, Kong Vang, you can either fine-tune your portfolio or get a jump start on the art classes you plan to take in the fall.

GAME NIGHT

Finally Cogswell's Game Development Club will roll out the consoles around 4:00 for Game Night!
