Recent news events of violence against Americans in the Middle East give us an opportunity to refocus attention on efforts to make peace in the world. Antigone Rising, performing on International Peace Day on September 21 at Tupelo Hall in Londonderry, NH are more determined than ever to let their music and their concerts be a message for peace among nations and peoples.

The band enjoyed a wonderful mission on behalf of the US State Department as peace envoys to Israel and The West Bank. During their trip, Antigone Rising performed in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Ramallah and other regional cities, leading community outreach workshops and making music with Israeli and Palestinian musicians demonstrating once again that all cultures can achieve peace and understanding through good old rocking music.
