After five weeks of shooting, Jackson calls a wrap on his second 'Sex and Race' trilogy installment

Its a wrap!

Just over two weeks ago saw the wrap on Stephen Lloyd Jacksons second feature installment of the Sex and Race trilogy. The indie flick is tentatively entitled Sable Fable (In essence, SLJ translates this to: dark story).

At the moment, Jackson is on a three week sabbatical from Sable Fable before editors and himself prepare for the cutting of the movie. However, its not a total break for Jackson, hes still working on the distribution side of David Is Dying and a documentary entitled: FWAC.

Regarding Sable Fable, Jackson doesnt want to think about what hes got in the can. At this stage of the process, I blank out of my mind what I shot. I don't bother to watch any of the rushes. So when I get to the cutting board, I come with fresh eyes.

The principle photography for Sable Fable lasted five weeks. Although Jackson admits that it was a somewhat challenging shoot in its own right, having just a five person crew (The Collective), he goes on to say that this way of shooting is a trend he'll like to develop and perfect for future intense, indie projects.

I looked at the indie shooting process (principal photography) of film making and asked the question why does it take so many bloody people to make this kind of movie?

SAR Productions are in talks with no fewer than four very different, but gifted editors. At this moment, SAR will be in no rush to assign an editor, because one thing is for sure, whoever comes on board as chief editor, will have to have a clear understanding of this complex movie and be apt to Jacksons style of how he likes his movies to be cut.

Although Sable Fable is the second feature in the sex and race trilogy slate of movies, SAR Productions are keen to point out that it doesnt automatically mean that it will be the next movie to be released after David Is Dying.

SAR Productions are already in the preliminary process of starting the third and final film in the sex and race trilogy. They say this one will be a lot different to the other two.
