Creative design and production company Troika Design Group today announced the addition of design industry veteran Gil Haslam to its creative team, effective immediately. Troika co-founder and executive producer Chuck Carey made the announcement.

“After leaving Novocom last year, Gil began freelancing with us, and he immediately made a great impact; he is truly a masterful designer and creative leader,” Carey explained.  “His talents are reflected in several of the projects we’ll be delivering in the weeks ahead, and we feel privileged to add his expertise and experience – particularly in the realm of sports packaging – to our palette.”

Joining Novocom in 1997 as director of design, Haslam was responsible for all aspects of the creative design and
production processes of every Novocom project worldwide since 2000.  He art directed ABC’s "Monday Night Football" and ESPN’s "Sunday Night Football," numerous ESPN programs, CBS Sports’ Sports Spectacular and CBS NASCAR – along with the UEFA Champion’s League, Europe’s equivalent to the Super Bowl.  He also managed the art direction on major redesigns for RTL News in Germany, MTV3 Finland, CineCanal South America, RTR Russia, DigiTurk and SuperSport in Turkey, Greece’s MEGA, Prima in the Czech Republic and a number of high-profile network affiliates in major U.S. markets.

Prior to joining Novocom, Haslam served in senior designer positions at Disney, ABC Video Design Group, WPVI-TV in
Philadelphia and LA’s KCAL-TV.

In addition to his recent Emmy nomination and being named an International Monitor Award finalist for his work on ABC’s
“Monday Night Football” and ESPN’s “Sunday Night Football,” Haslam has earned a total of ten BDA Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards, three Emmy Awards and seven Telly Awards.
