Text Depth Page 3 of 5 Step 7: Click on the Object (cube) icon to activate the Object properties in Invigorator. It is from this Options window that you can set the bevel, depth, and surface properties for the object. Step 8: From the Object Selection pop-up menu, choose Group 1. A nice feature in Invigorator is the ability to interpret separate paths as separate objects. If, for example you had saved each of the letters as a separate path, each letter would have been brought into Invigorator as a separate object. By using Select All, you can manipulate object characteristics for all objects at the same time. This will create a nice medium sized bevel on the front polygon only. All other sides will remain flat. The Beveled edge is what will give the object a sense of realism. ![]() When you have time, experiment with the other Edge Types. There are some very interesting predefined settings in Invigorator that allow you to create bowls, and even light bulbs. Step 10: Make sure the Edge Scale is set to 100, and then change the Depth to 10. Depth defines how thick an object is on the Z-axis. Step 11: Finally, since the viewer will never see the back of our text, turn off Back Faces for these objects. This allows Invigorator to render faster and keeps from using up unnecessary RAM. ![]() When an object is created in Invigorator, it has the same surface applied to all sides. In order to distinguish the front, sides, and bevels, you need to define the materials that make up the objects. Prev 1 2 3 4 5 Next [an error occurred while processing this directive] ![]() |
