(Dec. 29, 2003) -- Corel Painter expert, artist and author Karen Sperling has announced the 2004 schedule for her Artistry Corel Painter 8.1 Retreats and classes. The schedule includes one- and two-day seminars around the United States and features information for both beginners and intermediate users of Corel Painter 8.1.

Karen Sperling, who wrote the first several Painter manuals starting when the program debuted in 1991, in addition to the Painter Complete series of books, focuses the Artistry Painter retreats on art concepts and step-by-step Painter techniques to turn portraits and landscape photos into true paintings and not just photos with brush strokes.
