Electric Rain Developing Swift 3D for Mac OS X Swift 3D 3.0 is a standalone application for converting 3D artwork and animations to the Flash (.swf) format, as well as other vector and raster formats. According to the company, the version for Mac OS X will offer improved render speeds and an enhanced workflow.[an error occurred while processing this directive]Swift 3D 3.0 uses the RAViX III rendering engine for processing 3D scenes for vector formats. It supports transparency, reflection, specularity and multiple shadows. It also includes the EMO Ray Tracer, a second rendering engine with full bitmap texturing for output to raster and vector formats, including Flash. And it can render scenes to layers using Electric Rain's SmartLayer technology. Swift 3D 3.0 for Mac OS X will be available in late spring as a free upgrade for users of the Macintosh version of Swift 3D 3.0. Upgrades from previous versions will run $89.
