and Kaydara to Showcase MoCap Library and Real Time Authoring
Tool for OS X at GDC

SAN JOSE, CA --(Mar. 19, 2001)-- MOTEK and Kaydara will showcase
motion capture and character animation techniques for Mac OS
X at the Game Developers Conference on March 23 from 2:30 -
3:30 PM in room C3.
MOTEK will demonstrate its StockMoves motion capture library
and data sets, which can be directly exported into professional
3D packages, such as Kaydara FiLMBOX, Alias/Wavefront's Maya
and NewTek's LightWave3D. According to the company's the Motek/Kaydara
solution of StockMoves and Kaydara's FiLMBOX provides a complete
pipeline for sourcing, authoring, and delivering high-quality
animated games characters.
StockMoves is a Web-based library of thousands of stock motions
for use by graphic artists, game developers, and animators.
StockMoves complements UNICA, MOTEK's initial Web-based solution
for deploying professionally captured, cinema-quality 3D movement
into mainstream creative projects. MOTEK will be demonstrating
both StockMoves and UNICA in Booth #1630 at the Game Developers
Conference.
FiLMBOX for Mac OS X will provide both a hub for 3D data and
a set of real-time 3D authoring tools, enabling Mac users to
previsualize, storyboard and develop character animation. FiLMBOX
for Mac OS X will provide Mac users with the tools required
to integrate 3D character content into film, game, broadcast
and Web production.
