Castro Valley, CA --(Mar. 20, 2001)-- GHOST 3D, LLC is shipping Scribe-iT v.1.04, an advanced desktop 3D digitizing solution for Immersion’s MicroScribe digitizers and Discreet’s 3ds max and 3D Studio VIZ.

According to the company, Scribe-iT integrates the full line of Immersion MicroScribe 3D digitzers in 3D Studio MAX and 3D Studio VIZ Release 2 and above. It enables you to build accurate 3D computer models from physical objects with Scribe-iT’s feature set by placing the digitizer probe on physical surfaces and automatically inputting the 3D datasets. Scribe-iT offers Spline creation tools, controllable NURBS conversion, Mesh creation, and Mesh Strips creation, the company said. It also offers the capability to convert modified digitized objects back to the creation state for appending data.

Scribe-iT provides interactive camera manipulation and animation (during the digitizing process), and can be used to animate linked objects using a variety of animation controllers.

Scribe-iT also uses a new reference points system, that enables the operator to move and rotate the 3D object in the scene as well as the physical object, while still enabling re-alignment of the physical object and 3D object to the digitizer's spatial coordinate system.
Current pricing starts at $595. For more information, visit http://www.ghost3D.com.
